On the mountain

Explore the mountain areas around Zermatt and plan scenic outings to Gornergrat or Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Choose your chalet around your preferred lift access and your group’s skiing experience.

Mountain outings for non-skiers

Gornergrat offers a mountain railway outing and panoramic viewpoints. It can be a useful shared day for a mixed group of skiers and non-skiers. Check the timetable, weather and ticket options before setting off.

Mountain dining

Findeln and the Gornergrat area offer mountain dining as part of a day out. Choose a restaurant around your route and check whether access is on foot, by lift or on skis. Reserve separately and allow time for the return journey.

Arriving by rail

Zermatt station is in the village, close to the Gornergrat Railway. Plan the final journey with luggage before arriving: a central station does not mean every accommodation is within an easy walk. Private vehicle access to Zermatt is restricted.
